Is there another suicide wave because of the demanding society?

Dear ladies & gentlemen,

Last weekend, Karl Slym of automobile construtor Tata motors died after falling out of a hotel room. It is assumed that this was a suicide. Today, I also read the news from ,probably, a banker that jumped of the rooftop from JP Morgan. It is frightening to see that society seems to be too demanding for some amongst us to handle. Yes, society may go fast, but if you are struggling with it, take a step back and talk to people you trust. In 99% of the cases is a solution available, good for every party. If it is to fast, then try to fix it. Your voice can lead to changes if you use it right. We all got a voice and those voices should be heard. We should not jump off a roof and let our voices die along that one final statement. Please, don’t get me wrong, I can believe that there are situations where there seems to be now alternative and my condolences go out to the people they leave behind but please don’t think twice before you do it. think about it a billion times.

44 and a great sportsman !

Dear ladies & gentlemen,

At the age of 44, Jean Michel Saive is still a magnificent table tennis players and he displays this and his humorous side in this hilarious exhibition tournament match against Chuang. I have a lot of respect and his dedication and love for the sport is a souce of inspiration to a lot of belgian sporters and now probably beyond our boundaries.

Australian Open

Dear ladies & gentlemen,

The Australian open tennis championship has ended and we know the winners. Congratulations to Na Li for the women and Stanislas Wawrinka for the men on their victory. Na Li finally took the grand price in her third Australian Open final. Wawrinka was a more surprising winner after defeating Djokovic in the quarters and Nadal in the final. A surprising winner according to almost everyone but it did not came from nowhere. Wawrinka had a great preparation, proven by his victory in the tournament of Chennai.

Kid President !

Dear ladies & gentlemen,

The exams are over for me and I came across this yesterday and damn, this just gives motivation, light and inspiration after a hard month. That’s all I am going to say, Kid President is good and smart enough to tell his story by himself.

Michael Lanzo: winner from Belgium’s got talent !

Dear ladies & gentlemen,

Congratulations to belgian singer Michael Lanzo for winning the version in Flanders of “Got Talent”. He did a magnificent job with his singing in his native language dutch. He changed the lyrics of some songs and then he sings these songs with an astonishing voice. Very impressive. It’s normally not a music genre which I like but you just have to show some respect for his qualities.

Charity at christmas time

Dear ladies & gentlemen,

It’s almost christmas so all the raisings for the charities are totally black. In Flanders, the biggest commercial radio station is almost competing against the government supported radio stations. It’s wonderful and each year and they raise a lot of money but I am starting to have problems with this clustered moment of raising money. If you really want to help, people should donate the whole year, and actions must be held the whole year. We are forgetting the sense behind this whole idea. There are so many other ways of helping out the ones that need some help. Please do not forget them after this wonderful period.

Mathieu Van Der Poel (18 yrs) : 2 races with the pro’s – 2 times 2nd

Dear ladies & gentlemen,

For many years, the belgians set the rules when it came to cyclocross. These days will probably end when Mathieu Van Der Poel will take his place in the professional circuit. For now he’s riding most of the time in youth races but these day are almost over. He showed the last weeks that he’s ready at the age of 18 to battle against the world’s best cyclists. He’s at this moment world champion in the junior category on the road and in the field. one note, his father is Adrie Van Der Poel, the grandfather is Raymond Poulidor. Good luck to his opponents.

R.I.P. bis bis

Dear ladies & gentlemen,

For the 3th time in les than 3 weeks, the event of the day is a R.I.P. message. This time, it’s within the EDM scene. The BingoPlayers aren’t a duo anymore. My first festival was Summerfestival two years and they were on the line-up. “Cry” was one of the first times I really liked a dance song. I am sad that I have to write this so soon.

Brasil’s future events

Dear ladies & gentlemen,

When you did not know that Brasil is organising the next World cop Soccer and the next olympic games : Welcome back to earth after your visit to the moon. Brasil have the eyes of the world on it and problems are arising. We have already 4 persons that passed away during the manifacturing of the stadia for the World cup and today, Dutch sailors complained about the water condition around Rio De Janeiro. Is Brasil ready to organise these events? More and more, the answer seems to become no. It may seem hard, but Brasil is still structural that much underdevelopped to pull this off. Both FIFA and IOC had and have to consider other possibilities. Any country is and will never be ready to achieve the completion of 2 big events in such a short time. I don’t understand why we’re even trying this. I hope the brasilians will prove me wrong.
